The Annapurna area is regarded as the most scenic area for walk in the whole world. Ghandrung is the focal point of this trek which is situated south of the Hiuchuli and Annapurna South peaks. It is an important Gurung villages which famous for the scenic view of its slate roofed houses in the foreground of Hiuchuli and Annapurna South peaks. Buddhist by origin, Gurung is the best known ethnic community of Nepal and form the elite corps of the famed Gurkha soldier.
To begin this trek, we drive for about 6 hours from Kathmandu to Phedi near Pokhara. From Phedi, it is pleasant short climb to the picturesque Magar village of Dhampus which sits on a ridge top over looking the Pokhara Valley on the South and the who Annapurna mountain massif on the North. The wide terraced fields on the climb which is cultivated the year-round is mesmerizing to look at!
Onward Dhampus, we walk through a forest area with rhododendron and oak trees and pass by Langdrung, another important village in this region settled by ethnic Magar and Chettri people before arriving at Ghandrung. Ghandrung is the chief village of Gurung people in this region. The view of the Annapurna South and Hiuchuli peaks from here with the slate roofed houses in the foreground decorate many of the post-card stands along the trail. From Ghandrung, we make a steep descent to Madi Khola and follow it downstream to Birethanti to end this short and beautiful trek.

Poon Hill (2,975m/9,760ft) is the best known for the view of Dhaulagiri (8,167m.26,788ft), Annapurna (8,091m/26538ft) and other peaks such as Nilgiri and Tilicho in the Kaligandaki Valley. In April / May the views of these mountains through the rhododendron blossom that is in abundance in the area are truly magnificent.
On this trek we also pass through the famous Gurung and Magar villages of Dhampus, Ghandrung, Ghorepani, Ulleri and Birethanti. Breathtaking views of Nepal yet unsummited romantic peak Machhapuchrey ( Fish Tail) and other mountains in the Annapurna massif are plentiful throughout the trek.

This trek to the base camp of the South Face of the Annapurna I (8090m/26535ft) is best known as Annapurna Sancturary trek for this area is regarded as one of the holy mountain site of the local Gurung people. In the Sanctuary you are completly surrounded by mountains from all sides and such an experience is not common in other trekking routes. Other important peaks in that surround the Sanctuary are Tent Peak, Roxy Peak, Singuchuli, Annapurna I, Hiu Chuli, Annapurna South, Machhapuchrey, Gangapurna, Fang and Rock Noir. In the Sanctuary, we have a day sorted to feel the mountains more closely and as well as to explore the great glaciers that come from these mighty mountains.
To begin this trek, we drive for about 6 hours from Kathmandu to Phedi near Pokhara. From Landruk, we descend to Modi Khola and gradually climb along its banks all the way into the Annapurna Sanctuary. On our way to the Sanctuary, we pass through important Gurung villages of Chomrung and Kimrung.
After our pilgrimage to this holy sanctuary of the Gurung people, we make a swift return to finish our trek in Naya Pool with an overnight at the famous Gurung village of Ghandrung. From Naya Pool, we drive for a couple of hours to Pokhara. We spend a day in this beautiful lake city with abundant mountain views before back to Kathmandu by plane / bus.

Muktinath is among the holiest mountain sites for Buddhist and Hindu people of Nepal, India and Tibet. It sits at the top of Kaligandaki valley on the western side of Thorung la pass.The Kaligandaki Valley is known as the deepest gorge of the world which cuts through the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri Himalayan massif. It is also home to the Thakali people, who are known among the most financially succesful ethnic community in Nepal. The 'daal-bhaat' meals prepared by Thakali lady in their road-side wonderfully clean" bhatti" ( tea house) is very famous in whole of Nepal.
As in our other treks in the Annapurna Foothills, in the first part of the trek, we pass through the famous Gurung village of Dhampus and Ghandrung to arrive at Ghorepani the overnight town for the Poon Hill view point. A interesting descent from Ghorepani leads to the of Tatopani ( a town famous for its sweet tasting orange ochard and a hot water spring site by the bank of Kaligandaki river). From here we drive on the newly built track road to the ancient town of Kaagbeni and then to Muktinath 3,800m/12,500ft.- one of the important pilgrimage site for the Buddhists and Hindu people..
From Muktinath, we pedal down the Kaligandaki Valley on mountain bikes passing through the beautiful Thakali villages of Marpha, Tatopani to Beni. From Beni we drive to Pokhara and then fly to Kathmandu to end this interesting trip.

This classic 21-day trip, starting with a drive to Ngadi taking you around the Annapurna Massif is considered the most scenic walk in the world. It offers both the best of the hill and mountain culture and panorama of Nepal with along with crossing of an opportunity to cross a high mountain pass - Thorunla 5418m/17,770 ft.).
From Besisahar we trek in the Marsyangdi river valley with ample view of Manaslu, Peak 29 and Himalchuli. and arrive at Manang Valley after few days gradual ascnet The Manang region dominated by the snowcapped Annapurna II, III, IV, Pisang and Chulus has strong resemblace to Tibet in its culture and architecture and landscape. The views of prayer flags fluttering on every house top and monasteries and roadside main walls in each and every village give you to the first taste of being in the mountain. After Manang we shortly cross the famous Thorung la pass to enter the Kaligandaki Valley passing the holy shrine of Muktinath. Here we end the trek and mountain bike down the Kaligandaki downstream and pass throug the Thakali villages of Jomsom, Marpha, Tukche, Ghasa, Tatopani to Beni. From Beni, we take a van to drive to Pokhara and then fly to Kathamandu to end this trip.
